This is a very interesting idea and a great improvization by the researchers and planners at CORIN. Apparently, the author of this article has been involved with this improvization as well.
Please share with the readers whether there are any economic plans for this application, e.g., for the villagers to prepare the floating blocks and sell to the other parts of Thailand, or any plan to grow some key crops on these blocks.
This seems to benefit people in the fresh water areas of the Pak Phanang River Basin. Do you know of any potential application for the people in the salt water areas?
